Dee Brown Library
Programming RoomImprove flexibility, strength, balance, focus and overall well-being. Chairs offered, mats welcome.
Go Wild and Get Calm! Chair Yoga with Candace immediately follows Threads Gone Wild Knit and Crochet Club. All are invited to attend one or both every Tuesday at Dee Brown.
Candace’s classes flow from the peace, power, and purpose she experiences through the ancient practice of Yoga. Drawing upon a rich multitude of spiritual and cultural influences, she creates a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds and abilities. A complementary tea inspired by Ayurveda, Yoga’s sister in holistic health, is featured each week, along with a take-home guide, “From Your Library to Your Home,” to support individual yoga practice outside of class.
An accredited Librarian and longtime Yogini, Candace began coursework toward formal certification in 2024, as part of a grant funding her “Free Flow Fridays,” a 3-month series of Mental Health- and Social Justice-themed library programs grounded in mindful movement. Continuing to practice and train through the “Let’s Move in Libraries” initiative, she earned her 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification in April 2026.
All abilities are welcome. To request ASL interpretation or other accommodations, call 501.918.3069 or email hzbinden@cals.org 7 business weekdays before a program.
