Programming RoomWant to build confidence with power tools? Join Andrea, Construction Director of Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas and Dykes with Drills instructor to learn some basic woodworking skills in this beginner friendly workshop.
Participants will learn about measuring and cutting, joining wood, types of fasteners and planning and shopping for materials. The tools that will be covered will be handsaws, jigsaws, drills, and drivers. After the instruction participants will have the opportunity to practice using the tools. You’ll gain practical skills, boost your confidence, and walk away better prepared to take on projects at home — or on the build site.
This workshop is for 18+ and a waiver will need to be signed to participate in this program.

Dee Brown Library
Dee Brown Library is nestled in the heart of southwest Little Rock and offers patrons a wide variety of adult and children’s books as well as CDs and DVDs. The 13,500-square-feet library, which opened in 2002, provides access to public study rooms, a meeting room, and an outside deck and boardwalk that lead from Baseline Road to the library.
