Come see what happens when everyday people pick up a camera, dial in their lighting, and decide they have something worth saying. This showcase features work from local podcast creators who built their shows from the ground up.
Every great podcast starts the same way — with someone who has something to say and the courage to figure out how to say it. No massive budget. No professional crew. Just an idea, a camera, some lights, and the determination to make it work with what they have. That's exactly what a group of local creators did, and on Saturday, May 16th, from 10 AM to 12 PM, they're sharing the results with all of you.
The Mid-May Podcast Showcase is a free, public screening event where participants from our podcast production program will play their original podcast episodes for a live audience right here in the studio. These are real people from this community who took on the challenge of producing their own video podcast using a single camera and available lighting at their own location. No excuses. No shortcuts. Just creativity, problem-solving, and a whole lot of heart.
Anyone is welcome to attend this class, but registration is required. You can register on this page.
This event will take place in The Hatcher Agency Computer Classroom on the Lower Level of Main Library.
