504 | Adult Programming RoomCelebrate Earth Month with our feathered friends!We’ll show you how to use the free Merlin smartphone app to identify birds, keep a list of the ones, you’ve seen, and more. Then, we’ll go outside and see who we can find near Main Library!
The Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab app is a fun way to enjoy birding anytime, anywhere! In this class, we'll show off and try out the app's features, including:
- Identifying birds by sight and sound
- Keeping track of birds you've encountered
- Exploring information about a variety of birds
- Learning more about local bird species

This is a hybrid technology class—it will be offered in-person in the Hatcher Agency Computer Classroom on the lower level of Main Library and online as a Zoom webinar. Registration is encouraged if attending in-person; it's required if attending online.
Please note that part of this class will be a "field trip" across the street to Riverfront Park to practice using the app outside. Naturally, this portion of the class will be in-person only.
