Curious about starting a podcast, but not sure where to begin? This introductory class breaks down the fundamentals of podcasting, focusing on planning your content and the equipment you need to help you start with confidence.
Participants will learn how to develop a podcast idea, choose a format, plan episodes, and understand basic workflow considerations such as recording, editing, and publishing. The class also introduces common podcasting equipment, including microphones, audio interfaces, headphones, and recording setups, with an overview of how each piece is used.
Using the library’s production studio as a learning environment, this session helps demystify the technical side of podcasting while emphasizing preparation and organization before recording. Designed for beginners, this class is ideal for anyone interested in storytelling, interviews, education, or creative audio projects.
No prior podcasting or technical experience is required; just bring your ideas and questions.
