CALS Specialty Programmer Jodi Morris is also a certified Central Arkansas Master Naturalist (CAMN) and CAMN is celebrating OAK trees throughout OAKtober! Arkansas's native oak trees are a keystone species providing food and shelter for wildlife and a nursery for pollinaters. CALS Brooks Library is now open extended hours on Tuesdays, 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Special oak themed activities will be available each Tuesday evening in October, between 4:30 pm and 7pm, including:

2nd Tuesdays of the Month will be Nature Night at CALS Brooks Library. Join Jodi at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, 10/14 for a Story Walk in Millie M. Brooks Library Community Garden in the City of Wrightsville Park, followed by gardening tips for growing Oak trees and other native plants, and Oak themed arts and crafts.

4th Tuesdays of the month will be Family Fun Night. Join us on Tuesday, October 28, from 5:30 to 6:30pm, for a free game of ACORN! Bingo for all ages.
