Enjoy a tasty way to learn about Hispanic Heritage with guest presenter Jobe, CALS programmer from the Encyclopedia of Arkansas.


Have you ever wanted to know more about Hispanic culture and people, as well as past and present Hispanic programs and events in Arkansas? Since Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15–October 15, now is the perfect time to learn more! Even better, join us for a delicious snack while we learn: tamales and cheese dip! What a perfect way to celebrate. This program is presented by CALS Encyclopedia of Arkansas (EOA) programmer Jobe.

About the branch

CALS Brooks Library is located in the City of Wrightsville Community Center in between the City Hall and the Gymnasium. This library branch is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 to 4:30 PM. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month the library stays open until 7PM and hosts an art night with free art supplies for patrons to express their creativity.  A Potluck Food Rescue Distribution is held each Tuesday morning at 9:30 am while quantities last. A Be Mighty Food Pantry is located inside the library and a Little Free Pantry is located in the Wrightsville Community Center Park Lot. The Millie Brooks Library Community Garden is located in the city park behind the Community Center. The library has 4 Internet Stations for public use, free wifi, and offers copying, printing, scanning and faxing services. One study room is available for public use on a first come first serve basis. Table Top Games, an early childhood playroom, and a Video Game Room are available during regular library hours.
