This program is an interactive workshop in which adult participants will decorate small planting pots and plant herb seeds to take home. The goal of this program is to promote sustainability, self-sufficiency, and stress reduction through a creative, hands-on activity. During the session, I will provide a brief overview of Earth Month and discuss the benefits of growing herbs at home, including cost savings, environmental impact, and accessibility. Participants will then engage in decorating their pots and planting seeds under my guidance.
The tenth library in the Central Arkansas Library System was dedicated in Sue Cowan Williams’s honor on March 22, 1997. Fittingly, the Sue Cowan Williams Library serves the community near the historic Dunbar High School building in downtown Little Rock, where Williams taught. Today at the Williams Library, patrons can see the same commitment to education and equal opportunity that inspired Sue Cowan Williams to take a stand. Williams offers a wide range of programs for children and teens.
