As a part of the CALS Big Read celebration of Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude by Ross Gay, we will be on site at Dunbar Garden sharing copies of the poetry collection and inviting attendees to enjoy a poetry walk through the garden.

Ross Gay, the author of our Big Read selection Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, is gardener and advocate for community gardens. We are working with our partners at Dunbar Garden to connect CALS patrons with the joys and rhythms of cultivating a garden. During their April 18th plant sale, CALS will set up a temporary poetry walk throughout the garden where participants can read and reflect on poem and selections while enjoying the natural space. We will be giving away copies of the poetry collection while supplies last.

Dunbar Garden is located at 1720 South Chester Street, Little Rock, AR, 72206. Parking is available at the CALS Williams Library next door to the garden.

CALS Big Read 2026 is a month-long celebration of the poetry collection Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude by Ross Gay. We are hosting a series of programs to inspire meaningful conversation, explore creativity, and build community.

NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
