10/07-Science: Dry Ice Spooky Science - conduct spooky experiments with dry ice, exploring how it changes from a solid to a gas and using its unique properties to create fog, bubbles, and other fun reactions.

10/14-Technology: Robot Rescue Mission - work together to program and control robots to complete a series of spooky rescue missions.

10/21-Engineering: Build A Haunted House - Design and build your own haunted houses using a variety of materials, then test the structures to see how well they stand up to spooky challenges.

10/28-Math: Pumpkin Jack experiment set-up. Record measurements and collect date to create charts to follow as Pumpkin Jack decomposes.

About the branch

Oley E. Rooker Library is located in the southwestern area of Little Rock. The 13,500 square foot building provides books, audiovisual, and electronic materials for children, teens, and adults, as well as public computers, wireless access, programs for all age groups, and a meeting room.

Papel Picado Workshop

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a simple craft workshop. Families will learn what papel picado is, look at examples, and then fold and cut colorful tissue paper/lightweight construction paper to create banners to take home.

Banned Book Bingo
