From June 5 through July 31, CALS Brooks Library will celebrate Summer @ CALS 2025 Theme of "Color Our World" with a free weekly coloring hour for all ages, Thursdays at 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Coloring has been proven to provide mental and emotional health benefits, stimulating our brains and creativity with a calm, relaxing activity. All ages can particpate and free coloring sheets, crayons, colored pencils, and markers will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own favorite coloring books and art supplies. CALS Brooks Library is located in the City of Wrightsville Community Center in between the City Hall and the Gymnasium. This library branch is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 to 4:30 PM. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month the library stays open until 7PM and hosts an art night with free art supplies for patrons to express their creativity. A Potluck Food Rescue Distribution is held each Tuesday morning at 9:30 am while quantities last. A Be Mighty Food Pantry is located inside the library and a Little Free Pantry is located in the Wrightsville Community Center Park Lot. The Millie Brooks Library Community Garden is located in the city park behind the Community Center. The library has 4 Internet Stations for public use, free wifi, and offers copying, printing, scanning and faxing services. One study room is available for public use on a first come first serve basis. Table Top Games, an early childhood playroom, and a Video Game Room are available during regular library hours.
