Stephin Booth is a locally known percussionist with professional ties to Los Angeles California. He has worked on music projects with internationally known artists/groups such as Babatunde Olatunji, Dwight(The Professor)Baldwin, The Sylvers, Betty Everette, the Chambers Brothers, The Chambers Family Singers, Leon Ndugu Chancellor, War, Rudy Ray Moore, Rosie Grier, Little Richard, Kashif ,Debbie Allen, Cathy Person , Tranora Parker and The LA Cathedral Choir, Hezekiah Walker, Michael Wycoff, Rose Royce, Manhattan Transfer. He currently resides in Little Rock AR, where he is an integral part of the Afro Caribbean style drumming scene working either in the past or presently with highly acclaimed music professionals such as Tim Anthony, LeRon McAdoo, Merlon Devine, Bethany Devine, Marquis Hunt, Gerald Johnson, Rico Zaragoza, Darrell Yancy, Emerge/ Shemell Riveter, Keithan Epps and The Voices of Praise, Marlon Davis, Steve Huddleston, Ted Williams, Jeff Taylor.
Stephin loves introducing all ages to Afro Caribbean style drumming with hands on participation. This is a free Summer @ CALS program open to all ages. It will be held in the City of Wrightsville Gymnasium adjacent to CALS Brooks Library.
CALS Brooks Library is located in the City of Wrightsville Community Center in between the City Hall and the Gymnasium. This library branch is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 to 4:30 PM. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month the library stays open until 7PM and hosts an art night with free art supplies for patrons to express their creativity. A Potluck Food Rescue Distribution is held each Tuesday morning at 9:30 am while quantities last. A Be Mighty Food Pantry is located inside the library and a Little Free Pantry is located in the Wrightsville Community Center Park Lot. The Millie Brooks Library Community Garden is located in the city park behind the Community Center. The library has 4 Internet Stations for public use, free wifi, and offers copying, printing, scanning and faxing services. One study room is available for public use on a first come first serve basis. Table Top Games, an early childhood playroom, and a Video Game Room are available during regular library hours.
