Have you been interested in learning basic sewing skills or exploring sewn products you could add to your business? This beginner-friendly, hands-on class is designed for business owners, makers, and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to build practical sewing skills while learning how a simple product comes together from start to finish. Taught by Tim Camper of T. Camp Collection.

In this two-hour class, students will create a fabric knot bag while learning fundamental sewing and bag-construction techniques. To maximize hands-on sewing time, patterns and fabric pieces will be pre-cut and prepared before class.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to identify and organize pre-cut pattern pieces
  • Proper pinning and clipping techniques\
  • How to maintain a consistent seam allowance
  • Sewing straight and curved seams
  • Basic bag construction and knot-handle assembly
  • Turning, shaping, pressing, and finishing a sewn project

All materials and equipment will be provided, including pre-cut patterns and fabric pieces, thread, sewing machines, pins or clips, scissors, seam rippers, and pressing supplies.

By the end of the session, students will have completed or nearly completed their own fabric knot bag and gained hands-on experience with foundational sewing techniques that can be applied to future projects and potential product offerings.

No previous sewing experience is required. Whether you’re interested in expanding your creative business, exploring handmade products you could sell, or simply developing a new skill that could support your entrepreneurial ideas, this class is a great place to start.
