Community RoomMola-inspired art on wooden canvas and acrylic.
A mola, which translates to “shirt” in the Guna language, is a piece of traditional dress typically worn by women and known for its bright colors and intricate designs depicting flowers, birds, reptiles, animals and other emblems indicative of Mother Nature.
While we will not be working with fabrics in this class, we will be drawing from the rich history behind mola art itself to create one-of-a-kind art on canvases.

The Roosevelt Thompson Library offers patrons more than 62,000 books, magazines and audiovisual items.
