Homeschool Hangout
Wednesday, August 05
1:00pm - 2:00pm
We gather once a week with homeschooled kids in the community and have fun hanging out learning cool stuff.
Homeschool STEM Month will provide students with hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Activities will include candy chromatography using Skittles, creating LEGO Art Bots with programming kits, designing and testing aluminum foil boats, and participating in a Skittle trading game to introduce basic economic concepts. These programs will encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration while reinforcing STEM concepts through engaging, interactive activities.
All abilities are welcome. To request ASL interpretation or other accommodations, call 501.918.3069 or email hzbinden@cals.org 7 business weekdays before a program.
