Civic Saturday
Saturday, August 15
10:00am - 1:00pm
Rock It! Lab
Meeting Room (3rd Floor)Looking for a welcoming place to connect with others over good conversation? Join us for Civic Saturday, a relaxed community gathering featuring live music, an inspiring speaker, interactive activities, and a free lunch.
Come experience Civic Saturday, a community gathering that's all about connecting with one another and exploring what it means to be in civic community. Inspired by the feeling of coming together in community, Civic Saturday blends music, storytelling, thoughtful conversation, and shared reflection in a welcoming space where everyone belongs.
Registration is not required but is encouraged to help us plan and accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions.
We'll kick things off with a grounding activity, enjoy live music from Cornbread & Roses, hear a civic reflection from Jay Barth, and listen to Kathy Webb share about her civically engaged life. You'll also have a chance to join a fun, interactive activity about what you'd like future Civic Saturdays to look like.
We'll wrap up with a simple closing ritual, then stay for a free lunch and casual conversation. It's a chance to meet new people, share ideas, and help shape future gatherings.
No experience or special knowledge is needed, just bring yourself. Whether you're interested in your community, curious about Civic Saturday, or simply looking for a welcoming way to spend part of your weekend, we'd love to have you join us and bring a friend.
