John Singleton made history at just 23 years old with this unflinching, deeply human portrait of South Central Los Angeles — earning an Oscar nomination for Best Director and becoming the youngest nominee ever at the time.
Starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Ice Cube, Morris Chestnut, Angela Bassett, and Laurence Fishburne in an unforgettable performance, Boyz n the Hood remains a landmark of American cinema. Thirty-five years later, its themes of community, responsibility, and survival are as urgent as ever. Experience this essential film the way it was meant to be seen — together, on the big screen.
