We're having a concert in the theater!
Mömandpöp creators, songwriters Bobby Matthews and Virginia Ralph are Little Rock natives who have been working with kids, music, art, and theatre in some capacity since they met at Arkansas Governor's School in 1985. After high school, they both attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, during which time Bobby formed beloved Little Rock punk band, Trusty, and Virginia began to work with underground theatre company, Reponde de Capite.
Trusty would go on to be on Dischord records out of Washington, DC and Virginia began working with the artists who would eventually form Voices of the South theatre company in Memphis, TN. For nearly 15 years the two worked separately, Bobby's day job was teaching art, Virginia's was as a teaching artist in the Delta and performing in children's theatre, they finally joined forced in 2012 to co-write an original children's musical for the Memphis Children's Theatre Festival, entitled "An Old Forest Fairy Tale."
In 2015 they first performed what would go on the become their first ever show as Mömandpöp, called "The Mömandpöp Comeback Special", and they haven't looked back since. Since then they have won two Parent's Choice silver honor awards for their CDs "Mömandpöp" and "Look Closer," and are currently writing their first video series.

The Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library & Learning Center includes a computer lab with fourteen computers, teaching kitchen, large activity area, individual and group study rooms, theater, and community room in addition to a collection of more than 21,000 books, DVDs, and CDs.
In the 165-seat theater, children can experience all aspects of theater, including designing and building sets, writing plays, acting, and costume design. The state-of-the-art sound system, lighting, and projection screens is also be used for movies, concerts, and lectures.
The Children’s Library’s grounds are integral to the entire facility’s program. A greenhouse and teaching garden helps children learn about growing healthy foods as well as provide produce that are used in the teaching kitchen programs. The grounds reflect the topography of Arkansas’s ecosystems, from the native hardwood trees in the highlands to vegetation of the wetland areas, which are both planted and original to the site. Walking paths offer families an attractive place for exercise while learning the names of the trees and plants, and an amphitheater has seating for outdoor programs or nature watching.
