“Our goal is to empower families with skills to cook, shop, and eat in ways that support their child’s health while creating joy and connection around the table,” --- Dr. Pele Yu, Director of the Arkansas Children’s Integrative Health Clinic.

Arkansas Children’s Integrative Health Clinic is proud to launch a new initiative, the Eat Better – Food is Medicine Program, designed to bring the power of healthy cooking and nutrition directly to families. Through hands-on monthly Cook-Alongs and quarterly Food is Medicine Workshops, families will learn cooking skills, enjoy tastings, take home ingredient bags, and access community resources such as SNAP enrollment and food budgeting support. The program is led by Dr. Pele Yu and Chef Alicia Watson of Vito & Vera, in partnership with the Central Arkansas Library System’s Be Mighty Program, the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, and the Arkansas Children’s Community Outreach Program.
