2nd Friday Art Night (2FAN)
May 9, 2025, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
CALS Rock It! Lab at 120 River Market Ave.
UA Little Rock's School of Literary and Performing Arts will be bringing "Modern Band in the Alley" to 2FAN, performing outside in the alley next to the CALS Ron Robinson Theater starting at 4 p.m.! The CALS Seed Library will be at 2FAN to share some seeds or provide more information about this fantastic CALS program. Come color your own flowerpot for your new seeds or for a great Mother's Day gift. The Blue Umbrella, students from eStem, and many talented artists will be there with exciting new creations for you to admire or purchase. Also, watch in amazement as Nao Shaneyfelt demonstrates kintsugi, the centuries-old Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery using natural lacquer and gold; rather than hiding imperfections, it highlights them—celebrating the beauty of restoration and resilience.
Join us downtown from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CALS Rock It! Lab at 120 River Market Ave. for FREE drinks, music, art, and more. Stop by each second Friday to chat with local artists, shop locally from Arkansas makers, listen to some music, and enjoy some wine! Or come knit and sip with us!
PLUS: 2nd Friday Knit Night (part of 2FAN)
Bring your WIP (work in progress) and hang out for an evening of social knitting. Don’t know how to knit? We'll teach you. Supplies provided.
Made possible by generous funding from the CALS Foundation and the Windgate Foundation.
For more information about all 2FAN activities, visit the 2nd Friday Art Night Facebook page.
For any questions or concerns, please contact Shannon Holmes at sholmes@cals.org or 501-320-5792.
